Some helpful links for everybody!!

I thought I would share some helpful places on the internet. They are excellent places, and I either belong to most of these or buy from these places.

  • Technical Resources
    • www.the12volt.com - In my opinion, the best resource for general knowledge, period. Includes Ohm calculators for parallel and series wiring, box-building calculators, and a litany of forums for every conceivable car audio and security question.
    • www.carstereohelp.com - Over 2000 car stereo and speaker removal and install instructions. Most(~90%)with actual pictures and many with illustrations. All Blazer instructions have pictures. They also do repair work on factory stuff, one of the only places in the COUNTRY that does.
    • www.velocitymotorsport.com - If I could be 1/10th as good as this guy is, I'd be a happy man. Jeff is a good friend of mine and a regular poster of www.the12volt.com. He'll help you if you're in a jam. Also some killer articles of headrest monitor installs and EXTREME vehicle conversions.
  • Sales and Commerce
    • www.thezeb.com - The only website I buy from. The best prices on the internet, with a price match guarantee that they are not hesitant about using. (It's usually best price or it's free!!) Their tech support is great, customer service is great, shipping is either 6.95 for everything or sometimes is "over $100 is free." Great prices on some top brands. Plus they make some great packages work too, like the Orion amp and 2 RF subs for $599.99. That one is a STEAL!!
    • www.crutchfield.com - prices aren't great but if you intend on keeping your stuff for a long time or you need serious support all the time, buy from crutchfield.com. They send you everything you need to install your deck or speakers and can sometimes do discounts on large $$$ orders. Again, the prices range from good to way overpriced, but their tech support is #1 in the nation, no lie.
    • www.cmttrading.com - If you are going to buy crap, this has the best deals. No support of any kind and they pretty much always carry bad equipment, like flea market type of stuff.
    • www.ebay.com - I know it's cliché, but you can find cheap wire and RCA's off Ebay. I would never, ever buy a speaker or deck off Ebay. I know HORROR stories. I would buy large quantities of power wire or speaker wire and maybe some fiberglassing materials.

Email me at blazermedic@yahoo.com if you think I've left something out!!
